The Fitz Roy (3,359 m), also known as “Cerro Chaltén”, is a mountain located near the village of El Chalten, in Patagonia, on the border between Argentina and Chile. The Fitz Roy is located in the province of Santa Cruz and in the region of Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica. He was climbed for the first time in 1952 by Lionel Terray and Guido Magnone.
