Thought of the week
"Pure vision" could be compared to "original goodness"; it rests on the idea that the ultimate nature of our mind is not affected by the mental poisons that may temporarily invade it and can be neutralized. The opposite of pure vision is the belief that the world and humans are fundamentally bad. This tendency leads to condemning an entire human community because some individuals behave abominably. [...] In essence, the response to the atrocities too often committed by humankind lies in transformation and kindness, not in hatred and vengeance.
