Thought of the week
The solitude of the meditator is distinct from the loneliness experienced by those immersed in the multitude, in a big city, for example. [...] This solitude is, in truth, a "completeness." It is also the voluntary solitude of the hermit who chooses, for a time, isolation that allows them to deepen their spiritual practice without distraction. Far from cutting us off from the world, it becomes a powerful means of opening ourselves to others, becoming aware of the interdependence of all things, and generating boundless love for all beings.
