Thought of the week

We live in ignorance of what we inflict upon animals and maintain a form of moral schizophrenia which makes us take great care of our pets while we plant our forks into pigs slaughtered by millions, when in fact they are not less conscious, sensitive to pain and intelligent than our dogs and cats.
