Thought of the week
One of the villagers who came to meet Rabjam Rinpoche mentioned in the conversation that in Shey, money is of no use to them: the landscape is vast and the land is free; yaks reproduce every year, so there is no need to buy them; there are no roads, so there is no need to own a car, and there is no electricity, so there is no need to have a television or electrical appliances.
